Lonesome, it was almost as if the forest screamed a lonely silence, begging, yearning for the company of the Vahva pack to touch its everlasting woody earth. Deeply engorged with colors of the ever changing autumn, the trees that covered the forest were brilliantly lit up under the crimson orb that graced the heaven’s presence. However, this firey warmth that spread from the rays did little to get past the overhanging branches, and so, although the air was hot with mid-afternoon heat, the shaded ground of the forest was cool and easy to breathe through. A tiny wind whispered secrets to each and every creature it touched, cooing soft words of allurement and wisdom, sending a chill despite warmed day. She was protected though, at ease with the fact that her deep, exquisite snow colored pelt protected her with the thickness of her breed. The enticing sight of her bright coat kept tiny prey at bay, creatures of the trees chirped quietly with beautiful songs of migration. This comfort that was shown from the way she sat on the edge of a commonly passed through path, her shoulders relaxed, and tension was none in her lithe body. Tiny blue and gray eyes focused carefully upon a pair of two of the winged creatures, tittering and fluffing up in displays of beauty and elegance, and it was impossible for a smile to but creep upon her black lined lips.
How long had she been sitting there in peace? Away from the presence of her pack members, away from the begging words of an injured soul. It had been so long that she had taken a break that she almost welcomed the dismissal from the younger, less experienced healers. She trusted their knowledge enough to leave for the day and find some peace and quiet in the hands of Mother Nature. She did have another mission at hand, however, and that was to begin gathering quantities of herbs that had been depleting quickly. She knew all too well that with winter’s presence on their door steps, supplies must be kept in stock in the case of emergencies, because it would not be again until spring that the healers would be able to again, gather the supplies. Although, she had all day to forage for the enticing smell of the herbs and for now, it was nice to just keep herself calm and relaxed, at ease with the presence of Mother Nature.
